Chandler blueberry bushes are famous for producing some of the largest blueberries in the world—even as large as a cherry. The berries are sweet, firm, and full of flavour, making them excellent for fresh eating, baking, and freezing.

Ripening mid- to late-season, Chandler has one of the longest harvest windows of any blueberry, often stretching up to six weeks. Paired with Duke (early ripening) and Bluecrop (mid-season ripening), you can capture the ripe blueberry season in its entirety.

Blueberries like acidic soil with good drainage, so prepare and amend your planting location ahead of time, if possible. We sell an organic soil acidifier that can be added to your soil to gradually reduce the pH.

Be sure to see our blog post: Why Blueberries Need Acidic Soil to Thrive.

Chandler blueberries are technically partially self-fertile, but they will produce more fruit, and larger fruit, if pollinated by another variety of highbush blueberry. Duke, Bluecrop and Chandler are all highbush blueberries and suitable for cross-pollinating each other.
