An heirloom rhubarb variety with gigantic leaves and long, thick, red stalks. Flavour is excellent and perfect for baking and preserves.
This variety is vigorous and will quickly fill-in any well-draining, sunny spot, easily reaching over 5 feet wide.
Our rhubarb is propagated from large divisions from our plants, not seed, so our potted plants are much larger and more established than what's commonly available.
Rhubarb recipe idea: Create stewed rhubarb by simmering cut rhubarb with sugar and a small amount of water. Then freeze the stewed rhubarb in freezie bags or popsicle molds. Stewed rhubarb freezies are such a treat in the summer! Mouthwatering flavour and very refreshing.
