Local Pick-Up
After placing your order, we'll be in touch to ask which day you would like to pick it up. Orders can be picked up from our secure Plant Pick-Up area anytime between 9am and dusk on the day you choose. Pick-ups can be scheduled for any day of the week.
If choosing to pick-up from our nursery, items must be picked up within 10 days of placing your order.
Shipping Locations
Most items in pot sizes 1 gallon or smaller (under 7") are available for shipping.
We currently ship to all Canadian provinces and territories, except Saskatchewan and Manitoba. We do not ship to other countries.
Apples, Apricots, Cherries, Citrus, Grapes, Nectarines, Peaches, Pears and Plums can only ship within B.C. Blueberries, huckleberries and cranberries cannot ship to the Atlantic provinces.
Shipping Timing
We use Canada Post Expedited Parcel to ship our plants and products. Most items are shipped at the beginning of the week (Monday or Tuesday) to reduce transit times. Once shipped, delivery timing is usually: 1-2 business days within B.C., 2-4 business days to Alberta, and 2-8 business days to Ontario, Quebec, the Atlantic provinces and the three territories. Times may be longer if you live in a rural area.
Fall 2025 Preorders
Fall 2025 Preorders of items such as bare root tubers will ship from November 2025 to March 2026.
Spring 2026 Preorders
Spring 2026 preorders will be shipped or ready for pick-up from approximately April - June 2026, with the majority of items ready in May. Items will ship based on when they are ready and what their final destination is.
If you choose to pick up your preorder from our nursery, we will be in touch when your items are ready. Orders should be picked up within 2 weeks of receiving that notification. If you need more warning or have a preferred pick-up date in mind, please contact us ahead of placing your order so we can coordinate an agreed upon pick-up date.
Availability Subject to Change
The majority of our inventory is live plants, so their size, quality, and health can change over time. That means preorder stock is subject to change based on availability and plant condition. If we cannot fill your order, we reserve the right to cancel that part of your order and provide a full refund for the unavailable item(s).
Shipping Service and Liability
We ship via Canada Post Expedited Parcel. Canada Post does not guarantee the safe shipment of "living organisms," which includes live plants. By ordering from West Coast Plants and choosing shipping, you are taking the risk that Canada Post does not deliver the order on time or in the same condition in which it was sent. Essentially, you are asking us to ship your order via Canada Post and you are taking the associated risk of using that service. We are no longer responsible for items once they have shipped.
In our experience, shipping via Canada Post works very well and plants arrive in excellent condition. We ensure our boxes have proper ventilation holes and are marked as containing live plants.
Shipping Quotes Subject to Change
Our website will do its best to provide an accurate shipping quote based on your order and location, but large orders may require shipping in two or more boxes. If this is the case, we will be in touch to provide an updated quote and ask you to pay the difference. We do not make money on shipping - we just need to cover our costs.
Cancelling Orders
Regular orders of in-stock items can be cancelled anytime before they are picked-up or shipped.
Custom orders and bulk orders cannot be cancelled.
Spring 2026 preorders can be cancelled based upon the following timing:
- Before March 1, 2026: receive a full refund, no cancellation fee.
- March 2 - April 1, 2026: receive a full refund, less $20 cancellation fee.
- After April 1, 2026: receive a store credit, less $20 cancellation fee.
Restocking Fees
If you do not pick-up your plants within the stated time frames, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your money, less a 15% restocking fee.
