The Mojo Berry® dwarf mulberry tree (Morus 'Matsunaga') is the result of over 30 years of dedicated breeding work in Japan by Dr. Hajime Matsunaga, who set out to create a mulberry that was compact, everbearing, and suitable for small gardens. The result is a dwarf mulberry that begins fruiting at a very young age—often in its first year—and continues producing sweet, deep purple berries from early summer right through to autumn. Mojo Berry® produces fruit on both new and old wood, allowing for extended harvests.
Staying around 5 feet tall, Mojo Berry® is perfectly suited to containers, patios, and urban gardens where traditional mulberry trees would be too large.
Its long harvest season, ornamental form, and consistent performance have made it a celebrated breakthrough in fruit breeding, offering gardeners the taste of mulberries without the space requirements.
