'Golden Treat'™ Columnar Apple

Urban Apple® Golden Treat™  apples are sweet with a mild tart flavour, and golden skin. The apples get sweeter the longer they are on the tree and the crisp flesh stores well for 3-5 months. The texture and flavour remain good deep into winter, if refrigerated. Golden Treat™ apples are good for fresh eating, baking, apple sauce and dehydrating.

Columnar apple trees are bred for compact, upright growth, making them ideal for small spaces, urban gardens, containers, hedges, or orchards. They grow 8–10 feet tall but just 2–3 feet wide, with fruiting spurs along the trunk and upward-growing branches.

Despite their small footprint, they yield full-sized, flavourful apples. Multiple cultivars offer a range of colours and flavours for fresh eating, baking, or cider. Their high yield per square foot can match or exceed standard apple trees, and planting several in a small area lets you enjoy multiple varieties where only one large tree would fit.

All available varieties bloom mid-season and require cross-pollination with another variety of apple or crabapple.
