FAQs: Order Pick-Up

Picking up your order? Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions.

When do I pick up my order?

We will email you when your order is ready and ask you to select a pick-up date. Pick-ups must be arranged at least 24 hours ahead of time.

How long do I have to pick up my order?

Once your order is ready, we ask that regular orders be picked-up within 10 days and that spring preorders be picked up within 2 weeks. See our Store Policies for more info.

Where do I pick up my order?

We are located at 790 Middlegate Road in Errington, B.C. See our Contact page for a map.

What should I expect when picking up my order?

Your order will either be waiting for you in our secure, self-serve plant pick-up area (we'll provide a gate code) or we will be available so we can fetch your plants for you when you arrive.

Can I buy more plants while I'm picking up my order?

Our nursery is open by appointment so please let us know ahead of time if you'd like to shop while you're here so we can make sure we're available.

Can I still add to my order?

Yes, if the plants are listed as "available now" or "buy now" on our website, they can be ordered online and picked up at the same time. Let us know if you plan to pick up multiple orders at once.

Can I lay my plants down during transport?

Yes, this is often recommended, especially for large trees. Bring a garbage bag to wrap around the pot if you're concerned about soil spilling in your vehicle.

Can I transport my plants on the highway in the back of a pick-up truck?

Yes, but we recommend you wrap the plants in a tarp or blanket. Line the truck bed with a tarp, then load the plants, laying them down, or leaning them, so the pots are at the cab end of the bed. Then take the edges of the tarp on either side of the truck and wrap them up and over the plants, so you've created a 'tarp burrito' with the plants protected in the centre. 100km/hr winds on the highway can shred leaves and dry out branch tips so the tarp protects the plants from wind and wind chill. If your truck has an enclosed canopy or tonneau cover, you don't need a tarp.
