Perennial Climbing Spinach is a perennial vine with edible leaves that taste similar to lettuce and can be enjoyed raw or cooked. Native to the Caucasus mountains region, it grows at altitude, as an understory vine, making it both cold hardy and shade tolerant.
Though the vine will die back every winter, it is a perennial and will reemerge very early the following spring, with edible shoots and leaves.
Climbing Spinach stands out for its early spring growth, perennial nature, cold hardiness, and nutritional benefits.
