Rosemary is an essential herb for any food or herb garden, prized for its savoury aroma, culinary versatility, and natural beauty. This evergreen shrub thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, producing fragrant, needle-like leaves that are packed with essential oils and flavour. As one of the most popular herbs for cooking, rosemary enhances meats, vegetables, breads, and infused oils with its earthy, pine-like aroma. It’s also incredibly drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies while naturally repelling certain garden pests. Whether planted in the ground or in containers, rosemary is a long-lasting, fragrant addition to any edible landscape.
‘Arp’ rosemary is the ideal variety for culinary use, known for its exceptional flavour and cold hardiness. It is a cultivar of Mediterranean-origin rosemary, bred for enhanced frost resistance while maintaining strong culinary and aromatic qualities. This robust variety is one of the hardiest rosemaries, tolerating temperatures as low as -23°C (-10ºF), making it perfect for gardens in cooler climates.
'Arp' rosemary forms a dense, upright, and bushy shrub. Regular pruning helps maintain a more compact shape and encourages fuller, bushier growth. If you’re looking for a flavourful, aromatic, and easy-to-grow rosemary that thrives in diverse conditions, ‘Arp’ is the perfect addition to your garden.
