Variety and Size

Risingstar peach trees produce semi-freestone peaches with the perfect sugar-acid balance expected from a great peach. The orange-red fruit have a firm, but melting, yellow flesh, that is high quality and non-browning. They are early ripening, ripening 5-7 days earlier than Redhaven.

Risingstar peach trees have beautiful pink flower blossoms, which are cold hardy, resulting in heavy fruit set, so thinning may be required on these moderately vigorous trees.

Risingstar peach trees are disease resistant, showing resistance to bacterial spot and peach canker.

Protecting peaches, nectarines and apricots from rain in spring is crucial to prevent peach leaf curl, a fungal disease that thrives in wet and cool conditions. We recommend planting these trees in a location where they will get lots of sun and heat, but be protected from rain. An example would be up against the south wall of a home, under the overhang of the roof.
