'Redhaven' Peach Trees
'Redhaven' Peach Trees
Redhaven peach trees produce dessert quality peaches that are the top choice for canning due to their high sugar content. They are also excellent enjoyed fresh, having firm, yellow flesh with a rich, sweet peach flavour.
Semi-dwarf Redhaven peach trees reach 8-15', depending on pruning, producing heavy yields of almost fuzz-less, freestone peaches in July.
Redhaven peach trees produce fragrant, pink blossoms in early spring on vigorous trees that are resistant to leaf spot and can begin producing in their second year.
Protecting peaches, nectarines and apricots from rain in spring is crucial to prevent peach leaf curl, a fungal disease that thrives in wet and cool conditions. We recommend planting these trees in a location where they will get lots of sun and heat, but be protected from rain. An example would be up against the south wall of a home, under the overhang of the roof.
