Marionberries are a delicious raspberry-blackberry cross, prized for their rich, complex flavour that combines the sweetness of raspberries with the bold flavour of blackberries.
Often called the "Cabernet of blackberries," they’re juicier, sweeter, and more aromatic than most other blackberry varieties, making them perfect for fresh eating, pies, jams, and wine.
Developed in Oregon in the 1950s, Marionberries are a hybrid of ‘Chehalem’ and ‘Olallie’ blackberries, and they thrive in temperate climates with well-drained soil. The berries grow on trailing vines and produce high yields in midsummer.
With their exceptional taste and deep purple color, Marionberries are not only a flavourful treat but also rich in antioxidants and vitamins, making them a welcome addition to any garden.
