'Desert King' Fig Trees
'Desert King' Fig Trees
Considered to be the best suited variety for growing in South Coastal BC, Desert King has a large breba crop (the first crop to ripen). Our climate doesn't allow enough time and warmth for many fig varieties to ripen their main crops (the second crop to ripen), so it's the size of the breba crop that matters most in these regions.
Desert King trees have good form and strong, straight branches. The figs are large and green when ripe, with a pink, sweet, honey-like centre. Nutritious and delicious fresh or preserved.
