'Early Bird' Mulberry Trees
'Early Bird' Mulberry Trees
If you've never tasted a mulberry... here's your chance. Delicious, sweet, juicy, black berries, with a depth of flavour unlike most garden berries. 'Early Bird' is the earliest ripening of all mulberry varieties.
Mulberries are attractive trees with shiny, green, heart-shapes leaves. The leaves are commonly grown as forage for animals. In fact, mulberry leaves are the sole source of food for silkworms (the caterpillar that makes silk).
The trees available for sale are 9-10' tall and well branched. They are already mature enough to produce fruit.
